Intercessions
In our parish: we pray for our priest, Canon Neil Elliot.
In the continuing cycle of prayer for our church family, today we lift in prayer and give thanks for: Alison, Anne, Carol & Garry, Olive.
We pray that God’s love will surround and support those in our community who are in the presence of life challenges… remembering especially: Chris, Gwen, Sandra, Carleen, Pauline, Doug, Gertie, Ryan, Virginia, Kay, Bill & Pat, Reg, Connie, Fred, Glenna, Gillian, Ann, Rob, Kelly, Logan & Luke, Curtis.
In the community: we pray for the less fortunate who struggle to meet daily needs; we pray for the staff and clients of WINS Transition House.
In the diocese: we pray for Bishop John Privett; we pray for the retired clergy of the diocese.
In the national church: we pray for the national primate, the Most Rev. Fred J. Hiltz; we pray for the Diocese of Algoma, Rt. Rev. Ronald C. Ferris.
In the world: we continue to pray for Pakistan and all those imprisoned by the government for political reasons.

Collect for Today: Almighty God, you sent your Son Jesus Christ to be the light of the world. Free us from all that darkens and ensnares us, and bring us to eternal light and joy; through the power of him who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Voice Projection Workshop for all Lectors and MWS: Saturday, December 1st, 10 am – Noon in the Sanctuary. Led by Canon Neil.

Christmas Food Bank: Donations of baking and goodies would be much appreciated for the Dec. Food Bank. Please bring these to the kitchen by Sunday, Dec. 9th. The Food Bank team will then make up Christmas plates!

Take Back the Gulch Walk, Thursday, Dec 6, 5pm: The "Take Back the Gulch" gathering and walk will take place on Thursday, Dec. 6, Canada's National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women which honours the victims of the 1989 Montreal Massacre and all other women affected by violence. We'll start at 5pm with a short time of reflection in the Lower Hall of St. Anthony's Catholic Church on Rossland Avenue, walk down the Gulch to the Highway intersection and end the event with hot chocolate & coffee at the Salvation Army's new Family Services Centre. And along the way, we'll stop to celebrate the building of the Colombo Lodge's beautiful new park, which enhances the beauty and safety of this historic area of Trail. All are welcome to bring placards and candles or flashlights to "Shine a light on the Gulch". Call the Trail F.A.I.R. office for more information: 364-2326.
