Dec. 30 2007: 1st Sunday after Christmas

In our parish: we pray for our priest, Canon Neil Elliot. We pray that God’s love will surround and support those in our community who are in the presence of life challenges… remembering especially: Chris, Gwen, Sandra, Carleen, Pauline, Gertie, Kay, Bill & Pat, Reg, Connie, Fred, Glenna, Gillian, Ann, Gladys, Kelly, Logan & Luke, Dorothy, Curtis, Rob.

In the community: we pray for the less fortunate who struggle to meet daily needs. We pray for Ken Potter, the volunteers and children of Sanctuary.

In the diocese: we pray for Bishop John Privett. We pray for the Diocesan Archdeacon, David Irving; Dean of Kootenay, Allan Reed; Regional Archdeacons Bill Inglis (Kootenays) and David Irving (Okanagan); Synod Office staff Bonnie Bailey, Jill Bell, Howard Hisdal.

Prayer over the Gifts: God of light, in the birth of your Son we see your glory. May we who share in this mystery grown daily in your love.

Eucharistic Prayer: We are about to celebrate by sharing the Holy Communion of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. In a celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided at by a priest, our church took this bread and this wine provided for us today and gave thanks in obedience to the Lord's command. We now complete the thanksgiving by this act of Holy Communion.
