INTERCESSIONS

In our parish: we pray for our priest, Canon Neil Elliot. In the continuing cycle of prayer for our church family, today we lift in prayer and give thanks for: Dora F., Art & Mary W., Caron & Bob W. We pray that God’s love will surround and support those in our community who are in the presence of life challenges… remembering especially: Chris A., Gwen A., Sandra B., Carleen C., Pauline C., Audrey D., Kay E., Bill & Pat F., Reg F., Connie G., Fred J., Glenna M., Gillian M., Gladys W., Dorothy W., Kelly, Logan & Luke P., Curtis, Rob.

In the community: we pray for the less fortunate who struggle to meet daily needs. We pray for F.A.I.R. and the volunteers in the Building Better Babies program.
In the diocese: we pray for Bishop John Privett. We pray for the Keremeos Ecumenical Parish: St. John the Divine (Keremeos), Grace Church (Hedley), Cawston United Church (Cawston, James Blonde, Priest-in-Charge), St. Cuthbert’s (Princeton, Kay McLaughlin, Anglican Rep).

In the national church: we pray for the national primate, the Most Rev. Fred J. Hiltz. We pray for the Diocese of Montreal (Rt. Rev. Barry B. Clarke).
In the world: we pray for Cuba as it experiences a change of leadership. We pray for our political leaders, including Prime Minister Stephen, Premier Gordon, the mayors in our community, and all those in authority under them, that they may govern with wisdom, justice and compassion.

ST. ANDREW/ST. GEORGE FOOD BANK—March 11. Thank you again to all those who support and volunteer for our Food Bank. Besides canned protein (eg. fish, chicken, ham), and fruit, things like sugar, shampoo, laundry soap, toilet cleaners, toilet paper, salt and pepper are helpful donations. ADMINISTRATIVE PROJECTS TEAM NEEDED: As Patty’s hours have been cut, we need volunteers to help with projects such as preparing AGM reports, newsletters & pastoral letters (photocopying, collating & envelope stuffing). Please speak to Canon Neil.
