ALTAR GUILD REQUESTS FLOWER DONATIONS FOR EASTER. Please give donation to Nancy L., Gayle M. or Christina G. Place your name & “In Memory Of” in the Flower Book In The Narthex.

ASSISTANCE FOR SIMON & JUNO SHENSTONE: The home of Simon and Juno Shenstone caught fire and burned to the ground. Fortunately, they were not home at the time and so, unharmed. But, all their possessions were lost and the home was not insured. The diocesan family is offering prayer and support.
If you would like to make a donation to assist the Shenstones, you may send your gift to the Bishop’s Discretionary Fund at the Synod Office and in the memo line on the cheque write “Shenstone”. You will receive a receipt for the donation and the gift will be quickly forwarded.

ROSES: Catherine Wetmore will have rose bushes available from her garden. Catherine will be doing a renovation on her rose bed and is happy to share the roses she is removing. Please contact her if you are interested.

SPECIAL FOOD BANK REQUEST: 65 recipients attended the recent Food Bank! Normally, we have approximately 35-40 visiting. This was by far the largest group we’ve served. We scrambled to find enough food for all. Thanks for your generous offerings last Sunday! Food and Financial Gifts are still needed to prepare for the next time (Tue., April 14th)

WHAT'S HAPPENING As Of March 11 2009:

SPECIAL APPEAL FROM OUR FOOD BANK: Yesterday, we had 65 people visit. The usual number is 35-40, so this large number was unexpected. We scrambled to gather enough food for everyone. Consequently the cupboards are empty, empty! The next Food Bank is April 14th. Your gifts of food and finances are much needed, please!

A REQUEST FROM SUNDAY SCHOOL: The Sunday school would be very grateful if anyone who has a board left over from taking an advent wreath home would return it to church please. They will need the boards for next Advent.
